The Teaching Methods
Foreign language education has never been successful in Iran.
This is due to several factors, some of which are the teaching
methods, teachers’ knowledge and skills, and the teaching materials.
Failing to create interest in students and having them believe that
English is a sophisticated set of rules are probably two other important
factors. Some of the commonly used methods are: grammar translation,
which deals with the direct translation of phrases and sentences into
a foreign language and vice-versa; audio-lingual, which lays a lot of
emphasis on ample repetition and substitution; and communicative, which
is mainly concerned with mere communication with little attention to accuracy.
Levels of Teaching
We offer courses in General English, TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and GMAT, as well as
courses in German, and French. There are semi-private and group classes,
with the number of students differing depending on each group’s requirements.
The general English courses are intended for those who wish to learn everyday
conversations, with the emphasis on all the four language skills, i.e., listening,
speaking, reading and writing.
